Korean actress spotted!

Apparently they were filming at Jeju island where it’s normally quieter on weekdays. We spotted the beautiful korean actress on the ferry over to Jeju and managed to get a shot with her. The photo has been salvaged though I know it’s really dark… (lack of photography skills!) but this is a photo that’s rather memorable i guess.

Liz Taylor hospitalized for congestive heart failure

Liz Taylor hospitalized for congestive heart failure

The eight-time married screen icon was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre earlier this week but her hospitalization was only reported on Friday evening.

This week’s medical setback is the latest in a long history of serious medical problems the 78-year old Hollywood actress suffered lately.

Liz is under medical surveillance
Her spokeswoman, Sally Morrison, confirmed Friday the hospitalization of Liz Taylor, saying the Oscar-winning actress is in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she is being treated for symptoms caused by congestive heart failure, a condition she disclosed she had back in November 2004.

In congestive heart failure, the heart stops pumping sufficient oxygen-rich blood through the body.

This week’s medical setback is the latest in a long history of serious medical problems the 78-year old Hollywood actress suffered lately.

“Elizabeth Taylor was hospitalized earlier this week … suffering from symptoms caused by congestive heart failure, an ongoing condition. This issue is being addressed … She is currently being kept in the hospital for monitoring,” Reuters quoted Morrison as saying in a statement.

Morrison, however, declined to say how long Taylor would be in the hospital, adding that the actress’ family appreciated the support from fans.

“Her family and close friends are appreciative of the warm support and interest of her loyal fans but have asked that people respect her privacy and allow her medical team the time and space to focus on restoring her back to health,” her statement continued.

Liz missed amfAR gala
Taylor, who won Oscars for her roles in ‘Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf’ in 1966 and ‘Butterfield 8′ in 1960, had been scheduled to attend an amfAR- The Foundation for AIDS Research-benefit gala Wednesday night in New York, reports The Associated Press.

The actress was too frail to attend the event, where she was to receive an award alongside President Bill Clinton and designer Diane von Furstenberg, celebrating their dedication to AIDS research.

Elton John accepted the honor on her behalf, the AP reports.

Liz has long history of health problems
Taylor has had many medical problems through her life and is now confined to a wheelchair to get around.

In 1997, the actress became a featured tabloid topic when she underwent brain surgery for brain tumor, and in 1983 she signed herself into the Betty Ford Clinic in California for treatment of her alcohol addiction.

In 2004, Taylor announced that she had been diagnosed with congestive heart failure. She has broken her back five times, survived skin cancer and has faced life-threatening bouts with pneumonia twice.

In 2006, Taylor appeared on U.S. television to deny rumors she had Alzheimer’s. She had heart surgery in 2009 to replace a leaky valve.

Taylor’s long list of past husbands
Liz is also known for his high-profile failed marriages. She has been married eight times before, twice to the late actor Richard Burton.

The Oscar-winning actress is known as much-married movie star, as she married eight times to seven husbands. She first married Conrad “Nicky” Hilton on May 6, 1950 but divorced on Jan. 29, 1951, then married Michael Wilding on Feb. 21, 1952 and divorced Jan. 26, 1957.

The list continues, Michael Todd (Feb. 2, 1957 – March 22, 1958, widowed); late Eddie Fisher (May 12, 1959 – March 6, 1964,divorced); Richard Burton (March 15, 1964 – June 26, 1974, divorced); Richard Burton (for the second time, Oct. 10, 1975 – July 29, 1976, divorced); John Warner (Dec. 4, 1976 – Nov.7, 1982, divorced) and Larry Fortensky (Oct. 6, 1991 – Oct. 31, 1996, divorced).

The star of 1958′s ‘Cat on a Hot Tin Roof’ has been single since 1996.

The Top 10 Most Famous Women with the First Name of Mary

For the past year I’ve been compiling famous names to list on my name numerology website.  These are all noted individuals, but who are the most famous?  Today let’s count down the most famous women named Mary.

Day 328 of 365

Another submission for Flickr Group Roulette. Today’s group was Curl Up With A Good Book.

It just so happens that I am currently reading The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman. In general, I’m a bigger fan of books over their film versions so I typically read the book first. My sister mentioned that she was interested in seeing the movie and then mentioned that she had all three books so I snagged them now that she is done reading them. My interpretation of the book is a bit biased by the trailers I’ve seen for the movie and I’m picturing the characters as the actors and actresses that they’ve chosen for the film, but that isn’t so bad. I’m liking the book and I’m now really looking forward to seeing the movie.

So far I really don’t understand what the Catholic League has against the books, but last month they called for a boycott of the movie. Maybe later in the series I’ll get why, but right now I don’t get it, not that it matters anyway. I don’t hold their opinions in high regard and I’ll be seeing the movie regardless. It just seems a bit silly to me that a religion that has been around for so long feels so threatened by an implied opposing school of thought.

Ajay And Kajol Opposite Attack?

The real life couple has taken separate routes when it comes to reel life. By now, we all know that the SRK and Kajol starrer colossal project My Name Is Khan is releasing on the 12th of February.  The movie is all over the news as the marketing and the promotion for the movie is rampant. But, hubby Ajay Devgn is not keeping quiet as his Atithi Tum Kab Jaaoge is hitting the screens on the 26th of February.

Shahrukh Khan and Kajol go back along way as they can be called arguably Bollywood’s most loved onscreen pair. They together have worked in path breaking movies like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hain, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. And mind you, for each of these movies Kajol bagged three Filmfare awards in the Best Actress category. Kajol’s acting in all these movies was appealing and well appreciated and acclaimed by the masses. History has it, that Kajol is regarded as one of India’s most successful and talented actresses, Bollywood has ever come across.

Talking about hubby Ajay Devgn, though his last film London Dreams didn’t do wonders for him at the box office, but we all are very well acquainted with the abilities and the mass talent  Ajay Devgn possess. Ajay Devgn at one point of time was remarked as the underrated actor in Bollywood. This national award winning actor has essayed numerous roles and has done justice with the character roles he has played. His forthcoming Atithi Tum Kab Jaaoge looks fresh and ready to roll. Ajay is cast opposite yet another national award winning actress Konkona Sen Sharma in Atithi Tum Kab Jaaoge. The movie falls under comedy genre akin to his last film All The Best which was a HIT. The movie aint just any other movie as the Warner Bros. Pictures India and Wide Frame Films join hands for this film. It’s a great feat and honor to have such kind of international tie up and collaboration as My Name Is Khan the movie will be distributed by FOX star Entertainnment.

My Name Is Khan is just round the corner as it will hit the theaters on the 12th of Feb and couple of weeks later will see the rise of Atithi Tum Kab Jaaoge? We can see at one end Kajol is wandering places along with SRK promoting her movie and at other end her hubby Ajay Devgn is busy promoting his movie along with Konkona Sen Sharma. The last time we saw Kajol in the big picture was when she paired opposite Ajay Devgn in U Me Aur Hum. The movie faired well in the Box Office and one more time Kajol was nominated in the Filmfare’s Best Actress Award category that year.

The real life couple will be seen again later this year in a live-action 3D film titled Toonpur Ka Superhero. Directed by Kireet Khurana, the film marks Eros’ second production with the husband-wife duo after YOU, ME AND HUM.

Srinjan Bhowmick has a flair for writing for bollywood movies. Currently he is writing for Ajay Devgan and Kajol.

Elizabeth Hurley Cheats; She and Husband Head to Splits Ville

Amidst celebrity’s breakups and divorces it is such a sight to behold seeing pictures from paparazzi; celebrity moms toting designer diaper bags with baby on the other hand while having leisure walk in the park. Though I consider such as invading the private lives of celebrities, still in the back of my mind I am still thankful with the positive effect such pictures connotes.

The recent gossip Elizabeth is facing; caught cheating with his husband Arun Nayar, an Indian textile heir. It is publicly known that two former love birds had an expensive and lavish wedding, one at Sudeley Castle in England and the other was in Umaid Bhawan Palace in India where they were wed in traditional Hindu ceremony. Pictures from the lavish wedding were sold to Hello! magazine for 2 million pounds.

Hurley didn’t make an impression as an actress since most of her acting was criticized. She is more known as the face of Estee Lauder, a cosmetic company and her high profile relationship with Hugh Grant that indeed last 2000. Two years later she was blessed with baby boy named Damian Charles Hurley. And designer diapers bags was one of the actress staples during her entire motherhood. Sadly, Steven Bing denied the paternity of Damian even though DNA tests proved that he was indeed the father of the child.

The actress alleged affair with Australian cricketer Shane Warne was the reason why her marriage to Nayar crumbled. Numerous paparazzi pictures proved that the two are romantically involved. At the actress Twitter account she defended herself saying that his marriage with Nayar had ended months earlier.

Celebrity breakups and divorced is now just a common thing in Hollywood. Celebrity single moms like Sandra Bullock and Halle Berry proved that single motherhood is realistic. Both are proven good actresses with their Oscar’s to brag about. Their impeccable style was not compromised with motherhood, thanks to designer diaper bags they are strutting, they instantly glam up motherhood in just a flick of their fingers.

BlissLiving.com widely known for it’s a huge selection of unique designer diaper bags,

Academy Awards ? Some Of Oscars Best And Worst Moments

Each year I look forward to the Academy Award ceremonies. I like to think I know a thing or two about films, so I make my own picks of who I think will win the coveted Oscar. I’ve gotten better over the years as I’ve kind of figured out some of the politics that go on in Hollywood. For the most part the ceremony isn’t that memorable on the whole, but occasionally an award is given, or sometimes not given, and these are the things that stick with me for years.

I was particularly incensed when Brokeback Mountain was snubbed for the Best Film Oscar in 2006. I saw all of the other films in the category, which included Capote, Good Night, and Good Luck, Munich, and eventual winner Crash.

Say what you will about the movie – I won’t pretend it didn’t polarize audiences and critics alike – but it won virtually every top honor at film festivals around the world, from industry peers, and other award ceremonies like the Golden Globe, Independent Spirit Award, and the BAFTA Film Award. I was so mad when it was snubbed by the Academy for the Best Picture Oscar that I swore I’d never watch the Academy Awards again. You’ll see soon enough that the heat of the moment wore off.

In 2001 I was also sorely disappointed at a particular snub. I honestly have nothing against Julia Roberts or the fine job she did in Erin Brockovich, but when she won the Best Actress in a Leading Role award over Ellen Burstyn, who was hands down marvelous beyond words as a deteriorating suburban diet pill drug addict in Requiem for a Dream, I was certain there was something rotten in Denmark, as they say.

Again, I’d seen all five nominated performances that year, and only two were even worthy of the nomination. I figured Laura Linney in You Can Count on Me was the only actress with even an outside shot at beating Burstyn. Shows ya what I know, doesn’t it?

But the Academy Awards aren’t just a collection of disappointments for me. I reveled in the glory of Halle Berry winning the Best Actress Oscar in 2002 for her very brave and bold role in Monster’s Ball. I thought it inspired when the Oscar for Best Actress went to Marion Cotillard for her moving role in La Vie en Rose as she became the first person from France to win an Academy Award for a French language performance.

I also thought it was fantastic when Jeff Bridges finally won an Oscar. He did it just this year for his role as hard-luck country singer, Bad Blake, in the box office hit Crazy Heart. Nominated four previous times for various acting roles, most notably in 1972 for The Last Picture Show, and again in 1985 for Starman, it was high time he won a Best Acting Oscar in a legitimate role, and not just some thanks-for-all-the-hard-work-here’s-a-complimentary-lifetime-achievement Oscar. This one was the real deal, which almost made me feel sorry for all the other nominees. It was a battle for 2nd place, which isn’t really a place at all at the Academy Awards.

You can catch these and all the other great Oscar-nominated performances every day on Cox Cable Television and see what separates great films, and great acting, from the rest of pack.

Lincoln Wilder loves all things entertainment. His weekly music blog is a compilation of celebrity madness, album reviews, concert news, & sleezy celebrity drama; always written with absolute honesty and irresistible hints of sarcasm. Armed with only a laptop and Cox high speed Internet, Wilder surfs the streams for the latest and not always greatest of the music world. If it involves music and is notable, it’s on his blog. While some call it madness, he calls it living, (not “a living,” as that would suggest compensation of some kind). Wilder does what he does purely for the joy of it, and is always open to the suggestions of his followers.

Las Vegas Disc Jockey John Dote’ Produced Theme From Dallas

Airs Next: CBS at Friday 9:00 PM (60 min.)
Status: Ended Premiered: April 2, 1978 Last Aired: May 3, 1991
Show Categories: Drama, Soap
More Pictures In the ranks of prime-time dramas, this was one of the biggest.

Dallas, the saga of the Ewing Family, began as a five part mini-series in 1978. Throughout it’s thirteen seasons, many actors passed through the gates of Southfork. Below are the main cast, but in addition you find throughout the episode synopsis, many other faces, some familiar, some soon to be familiar faces creating drama for the Ewings!

In the late 1960′s, Peyton Place was a nighttime serial drama success—a novelty at the time. But since then, no P.M. show had caught the soap opera crowd’s attention… until Dallas. The show first went on the air for a five week run in early 1978, and then fell into a Saturday nighttime slot later that year.

Ratings were fair, but they were nothing compared to when the show moved to Friday nights, when the ratings well didn’t run dry for a long, long time.

The Ewing family lived at the sprawling South Fork ranch, in hoity-toity Braddock County just outside Dallas. Like any good power family, there was a matriarch and patriarch, and three sons— this core group, their extensive romantic relations, and the Barnes clan of rival oilers were all Jacobs needed to create a self-contained histrionic world of intrigue, dysfunction and passion. Borrowing from Romeo and Juliet, the youngest Ewing boy, Bobby, fell for a beautiful Barnes girl. And with a nod to the biblical Cain and Abel, Bobby and older brother J.R. didn’t exactly play nice with each other like you might expect brothers to. Whereas J.R. was nearly a hundred percent scoundrel, Bobby had discernable streaks of honesty and integrity…but that patented Ewing viciousness certainly reared its head once in a while. The South Fork ranch housed Jock and Miss Ellie, the king and queen of South Fork, J.R. and long-suffering wife Sue Ellen, and Bobby and Pamela…though why they all lived under one roof demands a little poetic license, because money certainly wasn’t a problem, and it wasn’t like there was a whole lot of binding inter-family harmony.

Here’s just a taste of the drama devices that ensued: insane asylums, car accidents, affairs, illegitimate children, gunfights, fistfights, catfights, lies, drinking problems (both real and imagined), poufy 80′s hairstyles for the ladies and best of all, notorious season finale cliffhangers.

The most famous, of course, came at the end of the 1979-80 season, when a mysterious late-night intruder shot J.R. in the chest while he was toiling away at the office one night. The resulting “Who Shot J.R.?” publicity raced around the globe, because by that time, Dallas was an international hit in just about every developed country in the world. Odds on the shooter’s identity were figured, bets were placed, and theories were construed– since there were about fifteen possible candidates, fans and pundits were kept very busy indeed. Don’t read the next part of this sentence if you want to remain one of the few of-age humans who doesn’t know whodunit… it was Kristin, J.R.’s scorned sister-in-law and recent romantic entanglement.

Dallas was conceived as a show that had plenty of sex and romance for the female audiences, and a lot of cowboy posturing and business intrigue for the male viewers. The formula worked, because by the early 1980′s, it was one of the most popular shows in TV history. There were magazine covers galore, a spin-off named Knots Landing about Gary, the middle Ewing son who wasn’t seen or heard from much during proceedings at South Fork, and primetime serialization imitators like Dynasty and Falcon Crest.

So for the show that kicked off the nighttime drama trend that’s status quo today, we tip those ten-gallon hats and breathe a secret sigh of relief that J.R. was just a fictional character who couldn’t manipulate us in real life. Because let’s be honest, that guy could have taken most of us down.
In 1986, John Dote’ produced the soundtrack theme from Dallas on American Artists Records which charted at number 6. The theme was removed from radio, but then re-added when Dote’ hired Little Richards promotion men.
