Katrina Kaif VS Deepika Padukone

 

Katrina Kaif is 1984 Hong Kong born daughter of Kashmiri father and English mother. She was brought up in England with her seven siblings. She started career in 1996 in age of 14 as a model and in 2003 made her debut to the Bollywood with movie Boom.

Deepika Padukone is 1986 Denmark born daughter of retired international badminton player Prakash Padukone and her mother is a Trip agent. Her family moved to Banglore when she was 11 years. She started as a model with Liril in her first ad and many after that. In 2007 she made her debut to the Bollywood with Farah Khan’s blockbuster hit Om Shanti Om.

SIMILARITIES:

Both started their career with Bollywood Kings Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan. Deepika Padukone started with Shahrukh khan in Om Shanti Om and Katrina started in Boom with Amitabh bachchan. Although Boom was rejected by critics and viewers where as Om shanti Om was a blockbuster hit. Both the actresses are foreign born Deepika in Denmark and Katrina in Hong Kong. Both have acted with Akshay Kumar, Ranbeer Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Abhishek Bachchan. These Both actresses are seen as the style icons of Bollywood and very popular choice of Bollywood lovers. When it’s about affair controversies names of Deepika as well as Katrina have been added with Ranbeer Kapoor.

DIFFERENCES:

Both the actresses Deepika and Katrina have individual style and identity. There should not be any comparision of both as actresses. Deepika achieved success with her debut film only, but Katrina had to struggle to establishing herself after her debut Boom as a big flop. Katrina has British-Indian looks, but when it comes to Deepika she is completely an Indian Beauty in trms of looks. Katrina entered the Bollywood three years before Deepika Padukone. When it comes about the acting verities we find that Katrina has played various roles with different shades like comedy, romantic, serious, negative, but we have seen deepika as an extremely romantic or bubbly girl only, but recently in Khelenge hum ji jaan se which couldn’t do well on box office she has played bit different role than her image of a romantic bubbly girl.
